Iwano Paper Mill, Japan provides us with large size handmade Echizen Washi.
We currently stock 10 kinds of 42.5"x 77.5" papers, and Iwano can produce sheets as large as 83"x 107".
We have also developed four kinds of special, highest quality printmaking papers. These sheets, exclusively distributed by HPI are also suitable for drawing and other mediums. Mr. Heizaburo Iwano is the only paper maker known for his large size, thick paper for printmaking, drawing, calligraphy, and conservation use. His paper making technique is a family guarded secret. In their mill, they rely on their years of experience and the training of their eyes and their touch. These are by far the finest large size papers being produced in Japan.
